2004 Ford EcoSport

Automobiles

The reception by the public in Mexico was impressive in 2004, with about 15,000 units sold. The EcoSport became one of Ford's best seller models in Brazil, consistently appearing among the twenty best selling vehicles, and was also popular in Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico. The 4WD version used Control Trac II, a traction system originally developed by Mazda that equipped the Mazda Tribute and the Ford Escape. The EcoSport was a subcompact crossover SUV from Ford Brazil, built at the Camacari plant and based on the Ford B3 platform shared with the Fiesta.
