The Touring models were introduced in late 2004, adding the E61 estate to the E60 saloon. The standard iDrive system carried a 6.5 inch LCD screen and a CD player, while Bluetooth for phone calls was available only on later build 2004 models, and standard on all 2005 and newer models. The E39 was in its last months and ended in May 2004. The E39 ended production in May of that year, a few months after the new E60 reached full production.
