Rover released the Ian Callum designed station wagon or estate body style of the 75, called the Tourer, in July 2001. In 2001 MG Rover launched a badge engineered variant of the 75, the MG ZT. The Tourer had been developed alongside the saloon but never authorised for production until MG Rover launched it, and the Rover 75 was then built at the Longbridge site. It was the 75's second year at Longbridge.
