The Town and Country was redesigned for 2001 using the Chrysler RS platform and was initially available only in long wheelbase form. Chrysler's short wheelbase minivan was marketed under the Voyager nameplate, which had moved to the Chrysler line in mid 2000. The trim levels for 2001 were carried over from the previous generation, LX, LXi and Limited, and the van was built by Chrysler Canada at Windsor Assembly.
