The Sentia ended in 1999, after about eight years on sale at home in two generations. It had replaced the Luce nameplate on the H platform and continued the line of the largest flagship sedans of Mazda that had been in production since the late 1960s, and the Kia Enterprise, the car that Kia built under license, was produced until October 2002. The Sentia was the last large RWD sedan from Mazda. The Sentia replaced the Mazda Luce nameplate on the Mazda H platform.
