Honda announced the LaGreat in 1999 as a bigger and more luxurious van than the Odyssey that Japan already had, and Alliston, Ontario, Canada built it as a rebadged second generation North American Odyssey. With the success of the existing Odyssey minivan, Honda elected to design a luxury medium-sized passenger carrier for the consumer market. This page belongs to the Honda LaGreat (single generation), 1999 to 2005 model years; the generation page and the Honda LaGreat model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
