From 1999 until the end of the first generation in 2000, the 2.5 liter V6 was the sole engine option for the ES model of the Stratus. In Mexico a variant was sold exclusively with a turbocharged version of the 2.4 liter DOHC four paired with a four speed automatic with Autostick, delivering 168 horsepower at 5,200 rpm. The Stratus was also marketed as the Chrysler Stratus in Brazil and Argentina. It was a mid size sedan.
