For 1999 the driver side sliding door became offered as an option on all versions of the Dodge Caravan, and the Dodge Caravan ES was equipped with an Autostick gear selector for its automatic transmission, a first for a minivan. In 1999 the 3.8 liter V6 became optional on the Plymouth Voyager Expresso. The Chrysler minivans marked fifteen years in 1999, and Chrysler unveiled three concept minivans to advance their design.
