1997 Mitsubishi Pajero

Automobiles

The Pajero Evolution (V55) was introduced in October 1997, developed to meet homologation requirements for the Paris Dakar Rally T2 class, which needed a minimum volume of production. The revised Galloper introduced in 1997 was restyled to look like the second generation Pajero, on the first generation chassis, and the Shanlu Motors CJY 6421D version of the Pajero was produced in China from 1997 to 2001. Over the 40 year run to 2021 more than 3.3 million Pajeros were sold.
