A fuel injected engine with 48 PS was introduced on the better equipped vans and trucks of the Minicab in October 1997, eventually spreading down the range, and at the same time the Type V reverted to the original carburetted two valve engine and was also available as a van. From August 1997 the Bravo lineup also included the retro styled Bravo Route 66. Across the range, 66 model variations were possible. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
