An updated Park Avenue was released in October 1996 as a 1997 model, using General Motors' G platform, though GM chose to continue to call it the C platform. The base trim featured a hood ornament while the Ultra had a less conspicuous tri shield inset on the upper edge of the grille, and the base Park Avenue was the last United States market Buick to carry a factory hood ornament. This page belongs to the Buick Park Avenue model on its Buick make page, and it links to the generation and the neighbouring model years so that the whole run of the model can be followed in order.
