The 1996 model year was the last for the Dodge Stealth, since Chrysler ceased sales of the captive import then and only Mitsubishi badged versions of the car remained available for the rest of its life. The active aerodynamics disappeared after 1996 as price increases forced features to be dropped. The Mitsubishi 3000GT carried on alone in North America until 1999, and a single cam engine was added to it after the Stealth was discontinued.
