A C4 convertible paced the Indianapolis 500 again in 1995, and 527 pace car editions were built. The ZR1 was discontinued after the 1995 model year because of falling interest, the cost of building it, the new LS series engines and the coming C5. Chevrolet also released the Grand Sport in 1995 to mark the end of C4 production. The Grand Sport name was a nod to the original Grand Sport model of 1963.
