For 1994 the SSEi trims used a new Generation III Eaton M62 supercharger with integral OBD 1.5 capabilities, raising the horsepower to 225 and torque to 275 pound feet. There was also the introduction of the new five spoke Torque Star wheels, an exhaust resonator to lower the engine's tone and a front passenger airbag. The Bonneville was by then a front wheel drive sedan sold with the 3.8 liter V6.
