The Sentia of 1994 was in its fourth year as the first generation, with four wheel steering that turned the rear wheels opposite to the front at speeds under 35 km/h to reduce the turning radius. Sales of the 929 Serenia ended in Canada after the 1994 model year, as there was a lack of interest in non luxury brand Japanese imports of this size, and the front wheel drive Millenia took its place. The Sentia replaced the Mazda Luce nameplate on the Mazda H platform.
