The Firebird Firehawk was first sold as a production vehicle in 1992, a modified Formula 350 with major engine, intake, suspension and other upgrades, including the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1's six speed transmission, done by SLP Engineering in Toms River, New Jersey. The upgrades pushed the price to 40,000 dollars, and only 25 of the regular Firehawks and 2 of the race models were sold in 1992, making it extremely rare. The 1992 models are the only third generation Firehawks.
