The engine was rated at 286 PS, and the modifications took time, so European models only went on sale in the autumn of 1992. The twin turbocharged VR-4 had the full time all wheel drive, four wheel steering and active aerodynamics of Mitsubishi's top spec. The 3000GT was a three door hatchback coupe built in Nagoya, Japan. The GTO's engines were naturally aspirated or twin turbocharged. The car was based on Mitsubishi's Sigma and Diamante and kept their transverse mounted 3 liter, 24 valve V6 engines and front wheel drive layout.
