For 1991 all Corvettes took on the rear convex fascia and square taillights that had set the ZR1 apart in 1990, which left the expensive ZR1 less distinct, though its center high mount stop lamp stayed above the rear window. The ZR1 gained extra badges on its fenders, and all models gained traction control in the form of Acceleration Slip Regulation. The 1991 ZR1 and base car had received updates to bodywork, interior and wheels, and the ZR1 stayed available only as a fastback coupe with a removable roof panel.
