The 1990 model year had the lowest Camaro production to that point, 35,048, because the model run was cut short by the early introduction of the 1991 cars, and the last 1990 Camaro was built on December 31, 1989. It was the last year for the IROC-Z, and the new airbag came with a half moon gauge cluster. Only 62 cars had 1LE equipment. The updated interior with the new airbag and half moon gauge cluster was offered only in the 1990 to 1992 Camaros, and the 1990 was the only third generation car without the updated ground effects of 1991 and 1992.
