The Dodge Spirit was introduced for the 1989 model year, a midsize car that served as the successor of the Dodge Aries K car. Trims offered were the Base, LE and ES, all of which were available from 1989. Chrysler assembled the Spirit alongside the Acclaim and LeBaron at its Newark Assembly facility in Newark, Delaware, and its Toluca Car Assembly facility in Toluca, Mexico. The Spirit could seat six passengers with an optional front split bench seat.
