The Concerto 5 door hatchback and sedan replaced the Ballade in Japan in September 1987, the luxury Civic at the newly established Honda Clio dealerships there. As the Ballade was essentially a luxury version of the Civic sedan, Honda repositioned it from Honda Verno, first with the Concerto name, then renamed again as the Honda Domani. This page belongs to the Honda Ballade (second generation), 1985 to 1987 model years; the generation page and the Honda Ballade model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
