The 1985 turbodiesel Mighty Max was the last year that the turbo diesel engine was available in US models, which had been available between 1983 and 1985. The first generation was in its eighth model year, with the L200 in export markets, the Forte in Japan until 1986 and the Dodge Ram 50 in the US. In Japan, where it has only been sold intermittently and in small numbers, it was originally known as the Mitsubishi Forte and from 1991 as the Strada.
