1984 Mazda Luce

Automobiles

The Luce of 1984 was in its fourth year of the HB series, a large front engine, rear wheel drive sedan or hardtop sedan built on the HB platform shared with the Cosmo. The rotary engined versions were never offered in Europe, and neither was the four door hardtop, though parts of Europe bordering on Eastern Europe and the Middle East did receive it. The name Luce was taken from the Italian word for light. The Luce was widely exported as the Mazda 929 from 1973 to 1991, as Mazda's largest sedan.
