1984 Honda Magna

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Rising US tariffs on foreign built motorcycles over 700 cc led Honda to cut the VF750 engines to 698 cc for 1984 by shortening the stroke, which made the Magna the VF700C in the USA, with an engine that revved higher, rev limiters in the CDI units, a rectangular chrome headlight and wider, lower two piece seats. The 498 cc VF500C Magna V30 was also produced for 1984 and 1985, a chain-drive middleweight advertised in the United States as the most powerful midsize custom in the world.
