The Lancer Fiore went on sale in February 1982 together with the Mirage II, with 1,200 cc and 1,400 cc engines, a Mirage sister with partly changed outside and inside. It filled the gap in the lineup of the Galant stores, which had no basic model equal to the Mirage. The conventional rear wheel drive Lancer EX was sold beside it. In August 1982 a 1,400 cc turbo car was added to the Fiore. The Lancer Fiore was a sister car of the Mirage with the inside and outside partly changed.
