The Landau was built in 929 petrol and 270 ethanol versions in 1982, in navy blue and grey green. Total output of Galaxie versions in Brazil was 77,647 cars across sixteen years, and only 2,492 of them ran on alcohol as fuel. The Landau was Ford's top model in Brazil and the only large American style sedan the company built there. Ford Brasil produced it at its São Paulo area plant for twelve years.
