1980 AMC Pacer

Automobiles

The 1980 model year was the last for the Pacer, which American Motors Corporation produced from 1975 through the 1980 model year, although production had ended at the Kenosha, Wisconsin, assembly plant on 3 December 1979. Increasing competition from the Big Three automakers and the rapid consumer shift to small imported cars during the late 1970s decreased sales. The Pacer was also made in Mexico by VAM from 1976 until 1979 and positioned as a premium priced luxury car.
