In 1979 the Camargue received the rear independent suspension of the Silver Spirit. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company that year, one Camargue was fitted, along with 212 Silver Shadow IIs, with the original red RR badges front and rear and a commemorative placard inside the glove box door. Rapid currency depreciation greatly raised the Camargue's price in the late 1970s. The car was built at Crewe by Rolls-Royce Motors
