1979 Mitsubishi Galant

Automobiles

Mitsubishi had limited resources, and the large choice of engines for the Galant lineup was reduced to one 1.6 and one 2.0 liter in the Japanese market, with 86 and 105 PS. In South Africa the facelifted model with square headlights and new low inertia engines appeared in mid 1979, and the automatic only 2.6 liter engine, developed locally, arrived in the middle of the year. The name Galant comes from the French word for chivalrous.
