Automobiles

The Luce Legato, introduced as the LA4 series in October 1977, was a large and luxurious sedan. The Luce 1800 and 2000 sedans started production in October 1977. Engines for 1977 to 1981 included a 1.8 liter 1,769 cc four cylinder and a 2.0 liter F/MA of 1,970 cc. The LA42S with the 12A rotary was manufactured between September 1977 and April 1978. The name Luce was taken from the Italian word for light. The Luce was widely exported as the Mazda 929 from 1973 to 1991, as Mazda's largest sedan.
