For 1977 the frame was modified again to a completely boxed unit, and power disc brakes and the Golden Eagle package, which included a tachometer and clock, were new options, as was air conditioning, for a car that had been designed as a farm and utility vehicle. The Golden Eagle package ran from 1977 through 1983 with a soft top or hard top, power disc brakes, power steering, a tachometer, the 304 V8, air conditioning, side steps and Golden Eagle decals.
