1973 Austin Allegro

Automobiles

The Austin Allegro was built by the Austin Morris arm of British Leyland from 1973, as a small family car designed to replace the Austin 1100 and 1300 models. It was built and sold by British Leyland alongside the hatchback Austin Maxi, launched in 1969, and the 1971 rear wheel drive Morris Marina, and was eventually replaced, with those two, by the Austin Maestro in 1983. The Allegro was a hatchback.
