Production figures for the Landau in 1972 are not known exactly, since the early records of the car are incomplete. It was the large four door sedan and Ford's flagship in Brazil, which Ford Brasil built at its São Paulo plant from the body of the 1966 Galaxie. The Landau was Ford's top model in Brazil and the only large American style sedan the company built there. Ford Brasil produced it at its São Paulo area plant for twelve years.
