The 1967 Cyclone was produced with several engine options. The standard engine was the 289 cubic inch V8 with 200 horsepower, and the GT engine was a 390 cubic inch quoted with 15 fewer horses than before, at 320 horsepower. Neither the 1966 nor the 1967 Cyclone used the 427 Ford FE engine officially from the factory, though some were modified by Andy Hotton of Dearborn Steel Tubing with a chromed 427 badge on each front fender.
