The first generation Ford Econoline was marketed in Canada as the Mercury Econoline EM series, and the Mercury M series of 1963 therefore included vans as well as trucks. The pickup was still a rebadged Ford F Series with changes to its exterior trim. It was sold mainly in Canada and followed the Ford trucks closely, differing largely in exterior trim. The Mercury M series was a line of trucks that Ford of Canada sold through Lincoln Mercury dealers, rebadged from the Ford F Series.
