The final major update arrived in 1961 with the A110 Westminster, which had a wheelbase extended by 2 inches, 51 mm, allowing more space in the rear compartment and improving the roadholding, together with a floor mounted gear lever. Production of the A99 ended in 1961 with the introduction of the larger A110, after 15,162 A99s were built. The A110 replaced the A99 that year, with a longer wheelbase.
