1959 was the last year of the Lincoln Capri, produced across three generations from 1952 until 1959. The 1959 Capri, a unibody giant larger than contemporary Cadillacs and Imperials, was augmented that year by the new Town Car and Limousine formal sedans above the Mark IV, as the Continental. Following its withdrawal, Lincoln rebranded the Capri using only its division name. Lincoln lost more than 60 million dollars during 1958 to 1960.
