The Villager was the intermediate Edsel station wagon of 1958, slotted between the two door Roundup and the premium Bermuda, and was marketed only with a four door body in six passenger and nine passenger versions. To distinguish Edsel wagons from their Ford counterparts, built on the same assembly line, the Villager had boomerang shaped taillamps. All Villagers had the 361 cubic inch V8, and in its first year Edsel sold more Villagers than Roundup and Bermuda wagons combined.
