The Parklane was built for the 1956 model year as a premium two door wagon, putting the Ranch Wagon body together with the trim of the Fairlane sedan to rival the Chevrolet Nomad. It had a carpeted interior, a four way power seat for sixty dollars extra, and a rear seat that folded flat. The Parklane was a two door wagon of the Ford range, in its only model year, sold in the United States. It was replaced by the Del Rio for 1957, which was built on the Ranch Wagon line.
