In 1946 Ford of Canada split its Ford and Lincoln and Mercury divisions into separate sales networks, and by 1952 the Mercury division sold the M series trucks as a Canadian rebadged version of the Ford F Series. The 1952 trucks used the series names of the American Ford trucks. The Mercury M series was a line of trucks that Ford of Canada sold through Lincoln Mercury dealers, rebadged from the Ford F Series. It was sold mainly in Canada and followed the Ford trucks closely, differing largely in exterior trim.
