1948 Wolseley Ten

Automobiles

The Ten was discontinued in 1948 after 2,715 more had been built following the restart of 1945, when the first of the postwar designs arrived. The new small Wolseley was the 4/50 but with a 1.5 litre engine it was a larger car and not a real replacement. Morris Motors merged with the Austin Motor Company to form the British Motor Corporation in 1952, and the sector of the market was left to Austin and Morris.
