Production of the E04A ceased in 1948 after 55,807 had been built, and imports to North America began for model year 1948, with sealed beam headlights and small separate parking lights. The Anglia was, in 1948, Britain's lowest priced four wheel car. A third grille style unique to the Australian A54A, with a centrally placed vertical chrome strip, was introduced in 1948. The Anglia was a small two door family car made by Ford of Britain.
