The 1939 Lincoln-Zephyr V12 continued as a streamlined luxury car in two door, four door and convertible bodies, the Zephyr having been produced since 1936 as the second Lincoln line. It still bridged the gap between the Ford V8 DeLuxe and the Lincoln Model K, which would end in January 1940. The first Lincoln Continental was developed from a Zephyr convertible for Edsel Ford. It was a streamlined V12 powered luxury car of the Lincoln division of Ford.
