The 1929 L series brought safety glass and dual windshield wipers. The car was a luxury car built in Detroit, Michigan, with custom coachwork from dozens of coachbuilders, and Murphy, Rollston and Waterhouse were added in the 1930s. In the 1986 comedy movie The Money Pit the house came with a 1929 to 1930 Lincoln L series four door Sport Phaeton as part of the purchase. It was the first automobile of the Lincoln Motor Company.
