1927 was the last year of the Model TT, which the Ford Model AA truck replaced in 1928. The Model TT had been built since 1917 as a one ton truck based on the Model T with a 125 inch wheelbase, a worm drive rear axle, and by 1926 a price of 325 dollars. Many Model TT trucks, including those that served in the First World War armies, remained in service into the 1930s. It was often fitted with an accessory gearbox for hill climbing.
