Many body styles were offered, with saloons becoming more popular as the twenties drew to a close. The Twelve of 1927 was a motor car introduced by Austin in 1921, a scaled down version of the Austin Twenty, with the 1861 cc engine that had replaced the 1661 cc unit the year before. It was the best year for the Twelve.
