1921 Austin Twenty

Automobiles

The one model policy was dropped in mid 1921 when Austin's company went into receivership, and in November 1921 Austin launched the Twelve, in many ways a scaled down Twenty. A 75 mile an hour Sports variant with a higher compression engine and wire wheels was added in 1921 but was very expensive, and only around 23 were sold. By October 1921 Austin could advertise that 6,566 Twenties were on the road.
