Hummer was a brand of big, military styled SUVs and pickups that began in 1992 when AM General started selling a civilian version of its Humvee, the first two going to Arnold Schwarzenegger. General Motors bought the brand name in December 1999 while AM General went on building the vehicles, and General Motors then added its own smaller H2 and H3. During the 2009 General Motors bankruptcy the brand was kept for a possible sale, no deal came, and dealerships closed in 2010. The name came back in 2020 as a sub-brand of GMC, and the electric Hummer EV is sold as a GMC, which this site records under GMC. The Hummer brand page here covers the vehicles sold as Hummers from 1992 to 2010, and each of its models, generations and model years links back to it.
