The Coronado is a Class 8 conventional truck from Freightliner, intended for long haul and vocational use. It was introduced in January 2001, with production starting for the 2002 model year, so it came out under DaimlerChrysler. It was offered with Cummins, Caterpillar and Detroit engines and in day cab and sleeper cab forms. The first generation was discontinued in 2010 to make way for a second, although the first generation remains available as a glider truck called the 122SD. It was not replaced by the Cascadia, because the Cascadia was the modern successor of the Century Class, not of the Coronado.
