Mitsubishi Fuso Canter (sixth generation)

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The sixth-generation Mitsubishi Fuso Canter was introduced in Japan in November 1993 and in Europe in 1996. In November 1995 the line-up was supplemented with variants in a standard narrow 3.5 ton and a wide 4 ton payload. In October 1997 the all-wheel drive of the Guts in Japan was modified from on-demand with crawler to a permanent system. From 2002 all European Canters were permitted to tow trailers of up to 3.5 tons gross weight, and a final make-over in 2004 added ABS to some variants. In Malaysia this generation was sold from 1996 to 2010.
